Physical and chemical Properties:
The pure Proprzamide is white crystal powder; Melting point 155-156oC; Vapor pressure 11.3 Mp (25oC); Density: 1.295 g/ml (25/40oC); Soluble in acetone, methyl alcohol, chloroform; It's not stable with acid and alkalis.
Uses:
Selective systemic herbicide, as a inhibitor in the small seeds legume, lettuce, some orchards, turf and some viewed plant to prevent and kill off a lot of grass families and broad leaves and wild oats, husked kaoling of perennial root, Ma Tang, barnyard grass of crops, early-maturing standing grain, etc.
Toxicity:
Oral: acute LD50 for male rats 8350 mg (tech.), for female rats 5620 mg/kg
Skin and eye: acute percutaneous LD50 for male rabbits more than 3150 mg, fish toxicity 50% lethal concentration: carp 14 ppm/48h, water flea more than 40 ppm, fish toxicity rank of registered pesticides: A, Reserved criterion for pesticide residue by EPA: vegetable 0.1 ppm.
