Solubility: soluble in 18ml water. soluble in ethanol, glycerin, glycol, methanamide. insoluble in acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, ether and petroleum ether etc. Application: Pentaerythritol is used in coating industry; also used in the making of aeroplane oil, explosives, plasticizers and stabilizers.
