VicBond TA-417

Description

TA-417 is a pure acrylic emulsion designed as a high perfomance paint binder for durable

exterior coatings on masonry,exposure testing sites on high ly alkaline substrates,has shown the product has exceptionally high efflorescence resistance in deep tone paints.

The particle size of the emulsion has been chosen to give good flow and transfer properties without the need of special thickeners normally required for fine particle -size

emulsions,in particular at low PVCs.

The incorporation of a special adhesive promoter in TA-417 gives the emulsion out-standing wet adhesion as measured by wet peel adhesion testing,this property is particularly important for adhesion to old alkyd paint,bare wood etc.

Storage

To ensure safe storage of VicBond TA-41 ,containers should be well sealed to prevent

evaparation of water and the formation of skin on the surface ,the emulsion must be

stored at a temperature above freezing,a temperature below 30C for not more than six

months is recommended,high temperatures will affect quality and cause the formation of

crusts and skins,especially for the containers are not tightly closed or are subjected to direct sunlight for long periods.
