Properties:Mauve liquid; density: 1.36~1.39g/m3; soluble in water, ethanol and ether, can be dissolved in liquid ammonia; decomposable in alkali; strongly oxidizing.
Purpose:
Used as oxidant, disinfectant, fungicide, detoxification agent for phosphorus; also used for saccharin manufacturing with toluene, o-toluene sulfonamide refining, organic synthesis and phenol wastewater treatment; metal surface cleaning for circuit boards, electroplating fat eliminating, chemical fiber finishing, removal of hydrogen sulfide and other odors, and water treatment.
