Property:

Pine tar is a viscous brown liquid or semisolid,mainly composed of therapeutic wood phenol,cresol,etc.It doesn`t dissolve in water but is soluble in ethanol,volatile oil,sodium hydroxide solution etc.

Usage:

Pine tar is very useful for reclaim rubber production.It dissolves in the cracked rubber hydrocarbon during the regeneration process.In that proceess,small molecules can uniformly penetrate into the large molecules of rubber containing sulfur to make the rubber swell,relax and network structure,and increase the distance between molecular chains and oxygen penetration;pin tar can act as the acceptor of the free radical,inhibit the gel effect,and helps spread the activator in the rubber matrix to speed up the regeneration process;pine tar can also improve the viscosity of reycled rubber with less pollution and good processing property.
