Properties: White or creamy white, free-flowing power with characteristic smell, hygroscopic. Soluble in water, alcohol and other organic solvents, has good cohesiveness, hygroscopic, film forming and surface activity character. The clarity of the aqueous product depend on the proportion of vinylpyrrolidone and vinylacetate. The aqueous solution of VA37 is cloudy,and the others are clear at room temperature. The solution is slight acidic but not electrolytic.

Applications:Cosmetics:PVP/VA series products play a good role as film-former and hair-fixing agent. Its hydrophobe decreases with the increase in the proportion of vinyl acetate in the molecular. This property is extremely useful for PVP/VA as hair sprays and hairset lotion. If mix with PVP-K30 can strengthen casehardened effect.
Other Utility:--Binding agent: used in wet granulation processes. --Dry binding agent: used in direct compression tablet processes. --Film coating agent: used for film promoters and sugar coating to prevent splitting,bottom binder to prevent moisture sensitivity. --Crazing agent: acts in taste preparating and coating films
