Feature

Following is a brief summary of the design of the Dependaveyor II Pneumatic Transporter and the reasons why you should purchase this transporter for your foundry sand applications.

The Dependaveyor II Pneumatic Transporter is a true dense-phase pneumatic conveying system which, by virtue of its unique design, can transport sand or other bulk free flowing materials in a dense mass at low velocity, without the aid of boosters.

Maximum sand temperature is 65o C.

A major part of the design of any pneumatic transporter is the vessel sealing mechanism.  In addition, the method by which the transporting air enters the vessel and the ability to transport the material with the minimal amount of compressed air are key design factors.  Also, the design must address the reduction of granular interaction between the sand grains and the transport pipework.

The Dependaveyor II uses a pneumatically sealed, Dome valve which has been proven by leading automobile manufacturers as being the most reliable and easily maintained 'air-tight' valve available on today's market.  This valve has been coupled with the 'transport technology' involving 'deep pocket bend fittings'.  true dense-phase transport method and the 'low' wear characteristics of a system using an orifice plate method to introduce the compressed blowing air into the transporter vessel itself.

SYSTEM CONTROL

These controls consist of  level probe and a control panel, which monitors any number or capacity of reception hoppers and automatically maintains them in a "topped-up" condition.  Reception hopper automatic filter cleaning may also be incorporated into the system control.

The control panel is shipped fully assembled.  Air control valves are prepiped to bulkhead fittings and internally wired.  Electrical sequence timers and control relays are pre wired ready for connection to site wiring and power supply.-

The complete unit includes push buttons, switches, pilot lamps and a system schematic on the front of the panel.

FOUNDATION

The vessel is free standing and requires no special foundation. Three legs of the vessel are rested in a pocket and bolted.

PIPING

Piping for the Transporter system is standard medium thickness class `CERW pipe.

FEED HOPPER

This hopper is actually a surge hopper which sits directly above and is mounted to the Dependaveyor pressure vessel by a standard pipe flange.  The feeder hopper capacity is at least 1-1/2 times that of the pressure vessel.  The feed hopper may not be necessary when the vessel is located below a bulk silo.

BEND FITTINGS

The specially designed bend fittings allow material to move through 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees without the high wear rate of long radius bends.  Custom bend angles can also be purchased as required.

BRANCH VALVE

Our design capable of loading multiple hoppers, within the total transportation length.  For this purpose the existing PLC will be programmed at no extra cost.  However, customer has to specify the number of hopper as this will enable us to offer additionally the solenoid operated branch valves and the level probes for each hopper.

DUST ARRESTOR

A Dust Arrestor should be provided with the Pneumatic Sand Transporter to prevent fine / Dust that will come out during Sand Transportation   A Cartridge type dust arrestor may be installed at the top of the bunker.  The suitable size of such dust arrestor will be determined based on the size of bunker and Transporter.
