Color Range and Color Change
Color Range: Red Oak offers a medium range of color variability from lighter tan tones with pinkish highlights to darker browns.
Color Change: Red Oak undergoes a medium degree of color change over time with a slight ambering of the pinkish tan brown color you get when freshly milled.
Where to Use
Red Oak may be used both residentially and commercially wherever the classic look of American red oak is desired.
Special Characteristics and Issues
Allergic Reactions: Cases of contact dermatitis have been known to occur. Care should be taken when coming into contact with Red Oak saw dust.
