1. The effects of Cinnamon Bark Oil are stimulating, heating, stomachic, carminative, and tonic. Cinnamon Bark Oil is one of the most powerful stimulants we possess, and it is sometimes used as a cordial in cramps of the stomach, and in syncope; or as a stimulant in paralysis of the tongue, or to deaden the nerve in toothaches. But it is principally employed as an aromatic, to cover the disagreeable taste of other drugs.
2. Olibanum, ylang ylang, orange, mandarin, benzoin, Peru balsam and in oriental-type mixtures blend well with Cinnamon Bark oil.
3. Cinnamon bark oil is a natural analgesic and can be used to relieve the pain of various complaints, including rheumatism. This aromatic oil also has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and anti-spasmodic properties. Aromatherapists use cinnamon to ease constipation, flatulence and scabies. Cinnamon can be good for low blood pressure. It is also an emmenagogue, used in aromatherpy to induce and regulate menstruation. This particular plant essence should not be used in pregnancy and can cause irritation to sensitive skin.
