Working principle
Catalytic converter is a device used to reduce the toxicity of emissions from an internal combustion engine.
By cleaning up the pollutants left over from combustion through chemical Oxidation and Reduction reactions, the catalytic converters convert the tailpipe emissions of hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) into nitrogen (N2), carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O), and elevate the harmful emissions to extremely low levels.
