The boiling vapor entering into boilers in the power generation plant is a corrosive gas and it may contain wet gases. Except use of B cone flowmeter to measure, it is difficult and unpractical to measure by using any other flowmeters.
l V-cone flowmeter with DN350 diameter is used for measuring flow quantity of gases at the washing place of gases in power generation plants
It measures the flow quantity of incondensable gases which are injected into the gas washer before being discharged into atmosphere. The kinetic energy of the fluid itself is very small and the static pressure is also very low. Moreover, the flow velocity is relatively high. In the past orifice plate flowmeters are used in such a situation, the errors of signal are very large (it is caused by too large pressure loss which is caused by the abruptly shrinkage geometrical structural size). After FFM61 V-cone flowmeter is used, 8:1 of range ratio is realized andβ=0.665, the measured P is very small, but it is very stable and has high precision.
