RCFB semi-dry FGD was developed by WULFF in late of 1980s, which based on CFB process from LUQI. This technology is on the basis of CFB theory. Its absorber is dry hydrated lime powder. The absorber is recycled repeatedly, which will prolong the contacting time between absorber and gas. Then high efficiency of desulphurization comes true. According to the owner requirements, the efficiency can be from 60%--95%. This FGD system is mainly for boilers in Power Plant. The Gas volume one tower dealt with meets 6MW to 300MW boiler. It is the one who can deal with the most gas per tower in the dry & semi-dry FGD technology. It also can get highest efficiency with relative Ca/s ratio. Compared with CFB process, there is an original reflux plate on the outlet of absorber tower upper, which can make particles in gas reflux. Then the residence time of particles increases. Besides, turbulence device is designed in the new RCFB. It strengthens the mixing of gas and particles.

The height of reaction area in Absorber tower is about 20m, which increases the reacting time for absorber and gas. And the gas residence time can reach more than 5 S.

This system has been put into practice in more than 11 countries successfully and refers to more than 20 projects. In Europe, the largest gas volume has achieved 1,000,000 Nm3/h, the highest efficiency can be more than 98% and the outlet dust concentration is below 30mg/Nm3. Also, one tower serves two boilers, three boilers even more. There is more than 30 bag filter experience, especially in Austria Thesis Thermal Power Plant (300MW), the gas disposal volume is the largest so far in the world. In China, RCFB has been used for 210MW, 300MW and 500MW. Four sets of this system have finished testing and got the approval. The FGD efficiency is more than 97%.
