Ethyl trifluoroacetate  is a colorless liquid with the smell of ester. It will influence its boiling point if has water. It can form Ternary azeotropic mixture whose boiling point is 54°C mixed with water and ethanol. It is flammable, toxic and corrosive. Its density is 1.194-1.195g/cm3, its melting point is -78°C and its boiling point is 60-62°C.

Its appearance is a colorless liquid. The purity is 99.9%. Its Sulfuric acid content is <0.05, chloride content is <0.05, fluoride content is <50ppm.

It could be used in the manufacture of organic fluoride and medicine organic synthesis.
