System Generalization:

    The electrical vehicle control system developed by our company provides perfect protection to different kinds of motor vehicle lithium battery pack through the use of AUTO_EMS_V2.0. The system can measure the voltage, current, and temperature of the battery instantaneously, send alarms when troubles occur and deal with the situations promptly and efficiently, dynamically estimate the State-of-Charge (SOC) of the battery.

    System Components:

    Central Control Module, Data Collection Module, 3.5Inch/5.7Inch Touch Screen, Current Sensor, Temperature Sensor and other wires,

    Module Introduction:

    Central Control Module:

    The function of central control module include: detecting the voltage and temperature information of the battery pack by communicating with the Data Collection Module; measure the battery pack’s charging and discharging current value of the battery pack; estimating the battery pack’s SOC; Communicating with the motor and motor controller through the CAN Bus and realize the charging and discharging control of the battery pack; transmitting the data to the touch screen through the LCD BUS.

    Data Collection Module:

    DCM should be connected with the battery pack. It is attached with the temperature sensors(each DCM has two or more temperature sensors) to detect the temperature of the battery. Usually a whole set of EMS needs several DCMs, The number of the single cell voltage monitored varies from 5 to 16 with the difference of the cell numbers in the battery pack. DCM needs to be provided with the outer power source of 12V (9V~18V) to activate, so that it can work to detect such information as the voltage of the battery and temperature of the battery pack, and then transmit these information to CCM through the Serial Communication

    Screen:

    The Energy Management System adopts the 5.7 inch or 3.5 inch touch screen. The dimension of the 5.7 inch screen is 172mm×140mm×60mm and 3.5 inch screen 96mm×81mm×46mm.The touch screen is composed of the displaying area, indicator lights,power source,and the communication interface. Touch screen of all models adopt the standard industrial design. They are anti-dust, and are very suitable for the factory environment. The front side of the screen is equipped with indicator lights, which are applied to identify errors. The power source and the communication interface lie at the bottom of the device.

    To simplify the installing process, we offer detailed instruction of all the ports and it will be easy for the customers to install the system.

    4.       intelligent charging process, safe and reliable

    EMS can charge the battery by controlling the intelligent charger through the CAN communication cable. When the single cell voltage changes into over charging voltage, EMS will send controlling signals through the CAN Bus and turn off the charger. When the maximum single voltage fall back under the over charging release voltage, EMS will send controlling signals via the CAN Bus and restart the charger.

    5.       visual display, update in real-time

    The EMS provides the touch screen which is able to display the current, voltage, temperature and SOC of the battery in a direct way. The information is able to update in real-time. At the same time display the maximum voltage, the maximum current, the maximum temperature and the cycling times of the charging and discharging of the battery

    6.       perfect communication functions

    The Central Control Module and the Data Collection Module are connected through the serial communication cable. By communicating with the Data Collection Module, Central Control Module is able to detect the current, voltage, temperature and other information of the battery pack. The communication between Central Control Module and the motor and motor controller is realized through the CAN communication cable, so the charging and discharging control can be selected. The screen and the Central Control Module are connected through the communication cable, and the CCM will transmit the information to the screen through the LCD BUS.
