The JX8002 is the newest high performance Mini-OTDR, which is small, lightweight and rugged. It has a large color LCD and a USB interface. It also features a long battery operation life. Using JX8002, you can measure unit/connection/transmission loss and locate faults or breaks on optical fibers. It is widely applied in the manufacture, construction and maintenance of optical fibers.

    Measurement

The JX8002 series Mini-OTDR provide high dynamic range and extra-short dead zone, permitting accurate measurement of fiber loss and distance, therefore, not only extra-long distance fiber cables can be measured, but also the pigtail fiber can be measured easily.

High dynamic range

The instrument provides over 42dB high dynamic range, therefore, when using wavelength of 1550nm, a about 190km distance of fiber cable can be measured.

Auto measurement

The instrument can be automatically set up test conditions such as distance range and pulse width etc, then automatically detecting then distance and attenuation coefficient of fiber under test, splice losses and other measurement items according to pre-set thresholds.

Certainly, the JX8002 can also automatically locating the distance position of fault in optical fiber under test.

Data transmitting, communicating and printing

The JX8002 series Mini-OTDR possesses multi interfaces such as RS232, parallel and USB, through which can be communicated to PC computer, transmitting data or files to or from PC. Certainly, it can be connected to printer directly.

USB transmitting

The JX8002 series Mini-OTDR provides a rapid USB port (rev.1.1), plug and play. It also offers a friendly operating-interface, through which the files can be transmitted in batches rapidly from or to USB disk.

Certainly, not only multi type of USB disk or MP3 can be used, it also can be connected to printer with USB interface.

Parallel communicating

The JX8002 series Mini-OTDR provides one standard parallel port, through which the data and files can be transmitted from or to PC using attached tool of software.

NOTE: the parallel communicating cable is optional.
