High Silicon Cast Iron (HSCI) Anode is the buried component of impressed current systems for cathodic protection of land and marine structures from corosion.
HSCI is working well for electrical conductivity. Impressed current anode that will form a thin passive barrier film of silicon dioxide on the metal surface, after oxidation takes place. The film has high resistivity and chemistry stability, which is in passive state under acid conditions, so it can reduce the dissolving rate for anode.
