Construction Method Requirements and Disposal of Base MaterialsThe conditions of base materials directly affect the adhesive quality of external wall & thermal insulation system. The surface of base materials shall be solid, leveled off, dry, without greasy stain, dust, pulverization and salt efflorescence. The flatness of the surface of base materials can be measured with level bar etc. For these places which are not flat and with a minimum of 1cm higher than the surface, it is necessary to make level with mortar beforehand, while the bulge with a maximum of 1cm higher than the surface as well as the loose part and dust can be eliminated with broad axe, wire brush, and hair brush. Mixing of Adhesive Cement Mortar

1. Weigh water at a ration (powdery material to water) of 1:0.17~0.18 (8.5-9 kg water for each bag of 50kgs powdery material) .2. Under the conditions of allowable height differences, usually the spot adherence method is adopted to manually plaster the mortar on the polystyrene board, and the plastering area must exceed 40 % of the board area.If the base materials are leveled off very well, serrate scraping method can be adopted to smear the mortar on the Polystyrene board. Firstly smear one layer mortar evenly on the board, and then use serrate scraper to comb it to strip form, and finally clear off the residual mortar at the edge of board.

2. Press the Polystyrene board plastered with adhesive cement mortar on the surface of wall and adjust it to close to the neighbor Polystyrene board. To press the board and promptly clear off the motor extruded from the edge can ensure there is no mortar in the joints between the neighbored boards. 3. Make the board level off and stick up straight, and flatten it with wood board or plastic board.4. The portrait joints of the board shall be interlaced, and the run-through arrangement is forbidden.
