Principle

Sedimentation method is applied according to different sedimentation speed generated by different particles in different diameter in some liquids.Put sample into some liquids to make suspension, the partilces in which will sedimentate by gravity or centrifugal force.Large particles will sedimentate faster and small will be slower.Stokes Law describe the relation between particle diameter and sedimentation .
