The density of the Bismuth at 9.8 grams / cm3, melting point at 271.4 °C, boiling point at 1560 ± 5 °C. It is a kind of crystal with Silver -white or reddish metallic luster color. Under the Room temperature, it is stable in the air. When it is burning, you will see the pale blue flame, and produced three bismuth oxide. Bismuth could be soluble in aqua regia and concentrated nitric acid, but insoluble in non-oxidizing acid and water.

Main Applications

Bismuth is primarily used in the manufacture of compound semiconductors, high purity alloys, electronic refrigerating elements , thermoelectric converting elements and liquid carrier for the cooling in the atomic reactor etc.
