Geosynthetic Clay Liner

GCL Introduction

1.Geosynthetic Clay Liners

Geosynthetic Clay Liners are new reinforced composites, consisting of three layers, the middle layer of

sodium bentonite between two layers  of  woven geotextile and nonwoven fabric. Three layers are

combined through needle-punched process, when GCL is in contact with water, the process can  keep

bentonite grains flow in one direction, at the same time, the bentonite swells to form a low permeability clay

   layer to  prevent leak.

2.Geosynthetic Clay Liner With Membrane

According to different conditions, HDPE geomembrane can be added to the outside

of nonwoven geotextile layer to enhance the waterproof performance.

GCL Advantages and Usages

GCLs have many advantages, like Environmental friendly,Better seal performance, Special self-repair

ability, Stronger erosion resistance,Non-aging and so on.

Mainly used in environmental engineerings as follows:

1.Landfill emissions

2.Landscape lakes

3.Rooftop and Swimming pool

4.Underground reservoirs

5.Man-made rivers and canals

6.Underground infrastructure construction projects,

7.Aquaculture construction
