Properties

Black or brownish black color powder, slight hygroscopicity, density 6.3-6.9g/cm3,melting point 1326,insoluble in water and alcohol, soluble in acids,ammonium chloride and potassium cryanide solution, slightly soluble in ammonia solution.

Applications

Electroplating active copper oxide is mainly used in circuit board plating. Industrial copper oxide is raw material to make colorant and magnetic material for glass, ceramics, enamel, etc., to make fireworks, dyes, contact agents, and other copper salt. It can also be used in artificial silk industry, and used as anti-creasing agent for oil paints or used in electronic industry.
