1.The strippable protective coatings for ceramic rollers are composed of ground dope(white) and over dope(taupe). The mixture of these two kinds of coatings is strictly forbidden.
2.Before painting, mill the ground dope with 110 percent water and over dope with 70 percent water and additives for 30 min respectively to prepare the ground coating and over coating slurry. The specific gravity of the ground coating should be controlled within 1.41~ 1.43g/cm3 and the over coating's 1.60~1.63g/cm3.
3.Clean up the surface of the roller first, then spread the ground coating onto the roller. The thickness must be controlled within 0.2~0.3mm (using method of painting or marinating or pouring just once). Let the ground coating dry naturally for more than half an hour, then spread the over coating (within 0.8~1.2mm, using method of painting or marinating or pouring two or three times normally). While actually operating, the ground coating should be spread on a batch of rollers, then the over coating.
4.After 10 days drying naturally, the rollers should be laid beside the kiln for full dry.
5.When changing the rollers, put the dried rollers with coatings directly into high temperature zone. To avoid exfoliating the coatings, do not preheat the rollers in low temperature zone before inserting it into high temperature zone.
6.After the rollers are fired for a period, the over coating should have been stained with glaze droplets, and the surface cleaning of the rollers is needed. During cleaning up, the over coating can be stripped to fragments easily by a slight knock with hardwood or ironware, without any damage to the ceramic rollers (just similar to stripping the egg-shell from the cooked eggs).
7.After the coating peel of, clean the surface and spread the protective coating again and launch into the newly applying.
8.Within 950~1300, the coatings act a good protection.
