Corrugated Paper Sizing Machine and Sizing Technology
High strength corrugated paper increase physical index by surface starch glue coating.
Sizing machine is the key equipment of this system.
In order to make sure the paper indexes and decrease sizing cost, sizing roll is needed to have the thermostability; corrosion resisting; abrasion resisting; high lineal pressure; high hardness; good flatness; roll diameter is match with working speed; the top and bottom roll inclined angle is reasonable; the top and bottom working speed match is accurate; sizing machine height is adapted to paper machine, which is convenient to paper leading, prevent paper wrinkle, and is good to glue soluting recovery.
Sizing machine is suggested to be put in between 3/5 and 2/5 of total drying ability. As for remodeled user, it suggested to add the dryer equipment.
Glue soluting preparation system is made up by high temperature water tank; glue soluting preparation tank; glue soluting thinning tank; glue soluting hold-up vessel; glue soluting charging tank; additives dissolve cans; pump between tank; vibrating screen; electric / hand valve; pipeline; electrical control system, etc,.
Electrical control system is always made up by remote computer, PLC center control module, electric implementing valve and peripheral control circuit.
Sizing theory: Through “Oxidizing Reaction”, “Cooking Pasting”, “Dilution Adjustment” processes, the original starch is made to be the elusifying glue soluting with 10% solids content, and is provided to surface sizing machine continuously through glue soluting supply system.
Surface sizing machine coated the glue soluting to the finished surface continuously, uniformly, and stably. Through immersion, osmosis, extruding, etc. series of physical process, there will have a thinnest waterproof layer on the finished paper surface, which can increase the paper waterproof resistance greatly.
Meanwhile, by the glue soluting and sizing machine effect, it can increase bond strength between fibers and paper compactness. And then increase paper horizontal ring crush index and the longitudinal breaking length technical index.
During surface sizing, there have two basic theories for glue soluting and paper bonding:
The first one is paper absorb glue soluting ability, which is related with paper basis weight, tightness, fiber capillary tube structure, pore size, pulp inside sizing level and moisture content factors, etc.
The second one is passing liquid membrane thickness and the separation of paper and roll surface, which is related with glue soluting solids content, temperature, viscosity, working speed, glue pool depth, press nip pressure and press nip width, etc.
Generally, the lower glue viscosity, the higher glue temperature, low working speed and pulp inside sizing reduction are good to glue absorption capacity; paper surface roughness, higher working speed, lower press nip pressure and higher glue viscosity are good to increase the liquid membrane thickness.
Now we introduce the basic and total structural drawing of high-speed and high-strength corrugated paper sizing machine and glue soluting preparation system.
The web width is 4100mm, basis weight is 70 g/sq.m.—200g/sq.m., working speed is 400m/min.
Sizing machine is inclined double drive point, sizing roll takes rubber structure with diameter of 1050mm, HT250 material quality. There are 25 dryer cylinders with diameter of Φ1800mm before sizing machine; 14 dryer cylinders with diameter of Φ1800mm after sizing machine, which structure can assure the paper machine working stably at high speed but low sizing cost.
Electrical control system is made up the closed loop system through engineer station, Simens PLC, temperature and hydrostatic sensor, electric actuator. The user can have real-time monitoring and control temperature, liquid level and flowing state of each glue soluting preparation link. Auto control pump on or stop between each tank, and assure glue soluting preparation operate continuously and stably.
