The parking complex can be situated underground / above the ground. The building for the parking structure is made of concrete and needs to be as per the design of the parking systems manufacturer to accommodate all the electro-mechanical components needed to operate the Automatic Multilevel Parking System. Different levels in the Parking Complex can be of a different heights (1.80 m 2.20 m) to accommodate cars of varying heights compact cars, SUVs, Vans, etc and achieve maximum volume efficiency.
The Entrance and Exit area for parking can be situated either at the ground level or on the first basement level depending upon the design and layout of the parking structure as well as the commercial space. There can be multiple entry / exit points or rooms in a large parking complex so that there is never a long queue of users waiting to park their cars. Each entry / exit room has an Elevator on which the user drives in and parks their car.
The Automatic Multilevel Parking System consists of multiple high-speed elevators and multiple high-speed shuttles. A car is taken by an Elevator to a particular level where there is a vacant parking slot and then transferred onto a Shuttle operating at that particular level. The Shuttle then transports the car and transfers it into a vacant parking slot.
