1.Purchasing Pyrethrum dried flowers

Pyrethrum dried flowers is always up to our strict acceptance standards, and then been put in storage. Appearance examination and pyrethrin content examination are mostly used.

1.1 Appearance examination

Pyrethrum dried flowers’ quality is examinated and evaluated by its appearance. Usually, color, maturity, moisture content, purity are the evaluating standards. 

1.1.1 Color

Flowers’s color is regular, with no overyear flowers which are mildewy or polluted.

1.1.2 Maturity

Tens of flowers which are randomly picked, maturity is calculated by how many flowers are up to 70% maturity.

1.1.3 Moisture content or loss on drying(105°C,4h ,W/W)

Moisture content or loss on drying(105°C,4h ,W/W)should be generally controlled below 10%.

1.1.4 Purity

Normally, flowers should be with no inpurity. Weigh randomly picked flowers and the inpurity, then calculate the inpurity percent, which should not upo to 1%.

1.2 Pyrethrin content examination

AOAC standard methods is always be used to examinate active ingredient content. Pyrethrin content should be up to 1%.

2. Smashing

WFJ-60 microgrinder is always used to smash dried pyrethrum flowers to 40 or 80 mesh.

3.Packaging

Flower powder is packaged in plastic bags, 25kilograms per bag.
