ETL stands for Electrical Testing Laboratories. Its reputation is very well recognized in the U.S. and around the world. Similar to UL and CSA, ETL can perform test and issue ETL mark according to the UL or U.S. federal standards ETL would also issue a composite certification mark that is applicable to both U.S and Canada market if the products attest both UL / U.S. Federal standards and CSA / Canadian standards. The “us” on the bottom right represent it is applicable in U.S. and the “c” on the bottom left represent it is applicable in Canada. If both “us” and “c” are presented, that product is applicable to both the U.S. and Canada.

Any electronic appliance, machinery or electrical products bear the ETL mark indicates it has met the minimum requirement of the widely recognized U.S and/or Canada safety standards and are compliant with the relevant standards through testing. It also indicates the manufacturers agree to be periodically inspected to assure the conformity of its product, making it qualified to sell in the U.S. and Canada.
