Front plate liner insert is the marjor parts of the wet side , it works with the volute liner,back plate liner insert and the impeller to tranport the slurry . The working side of the front plate liner insert is easily worn out owing to the corrosive slurry hit the plat of the woring side in hight speed , particularly in the  surface of this place,if the surface is not smooth enouh , the friction is high and wear/corrosion speed will raise.

  The lost foam casting is a good solution for the surface problem , and a range of measures are taken to prevent the casting problem , after final heat treatment , the hardness of the parts can be 56-60HRC ,it will efficiently improve the lift of the parts !
