Ni-Cd cell is used for starting engine of locomotives or ground trolley to start aeroplanes. Sintered plates, upto to 210Ah.

The Rechargable Ni-Cd cells are used to make power packs to start locomotive engines of train, or start ground trolley engine in the airport so as to start aeroplanes in the airport.

The Ni-cd cells are sintered type with vent plug; electrolyte is KOH; rated voltage is 1.2V; Can be charged at 0.1C for 14 to 16 hours or at 0.2C for 7 to 8 hours; can also be floated charged; Can be discharged at over 10 times of rated discharge current; maintainence free; 

operating temperature ranges from -40 Degree centigrade to +60 Degree centigrade. shelf life 4 years; operating life 800 cycles at 100% DOD.
