Si3N4 Bonded SiC Blast Furnace Bricks

Si3N4 Bonded SiC Bricks are produced using high quality silicon carbide and industial silicon powder as starting materials, firing at high temperature by nitridation reaction. Characterized by good thermal shock resistance, good alkali corrosion resistance, good slag resistance, high strength and high thermal conductivity, the bricks are mainly used in severe parts of iron-making blast furnace, such as the lower part of stack, belly, bosh and tuyere. The bricks were awarded the “The 2nd prize of National Science & Technology Progress” by the former Metallurgy Ministry in 1987. The bricks have been used successfully in about 10 large steel companies such as Baosteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation in China, and also have been exported to some countries and regions such as Russia, etc.

SiAlON Bonded SiC Corundum Bricks

SiAlON bonded SiC bricks are produced using high quality silicon carbide, industrial silicon powder and aluminum powder as starting materials. Firing at about 1500°C by nitridation solid solution reaction. Compared with Si3N4 bonded oxidation resistance, the bricks are mainly used in the lower part of stack, belly and bosh of BF. The bricks were swarded the “The Third Prize of National Science & Technology Progress” in 1998 and have been used successfully in Blast Furnace of Anshan.
