CDMP300A Substation Protection
General
CDMP300A(including CDMP301A, CDMP301B, CDMP301C and CDMP301D, hereafter called CDMP300A)series of Switchbay Protection and Control Units are a type of digital multi-functional relay integrated with following functions as protection, measure, monitoring, control, human-computer interface and communications.
As the most universal, widest used protection measuring & controlling device, CDMP300A is suitable for primary or standby protection to varied kinds of electric equipments and circuits of indirect grounding electricity grids no higher than 100kv-grade. In general, besides CDMP300A series, there is no need to adopt other series of devices to meet the requirements for protection and automation for the transformer substation, which simplifies the maintenance work and spare parts.

Main features
- Being installed with ARM 32-digit embedded system and RS485 COM ports, the protection device is powerful in data processing and communication management.
- With the perfect, powerful self-check function, the device is able to prompt an automatic alarm when running wrong, selectively blocking the output tripping circuit. The output self-check function is effective in finding out the broken output Photo-Coupler and short circuit. With the maintenance-free design, it needs no precision adjustment at the spot, while the measuring precision is constant regardless of the change in environment or long-time running.
- The international input power module is compatible with AC or DC operation power within 85V to 264V, having an excellent performance in power decline and sudden change in voltage.
- The circuit involving breakers is equipped with a hardware tripping-resistance blocking module which runs normally regardless of the change in current during opening/closing action. The strengthened operation management for breakers is suitable for varied running modes of transformer substations and power distribution stations.
- The 16-digit A/D sampling mode largely increases the measuring precision and the setpoint’s resolution, with the sampling pulse triggered totally by hardware.
- It can within interval less than 1ms record all events relating to the safety operation of the electric power system. It can record online events up to 64 pieces which will not disappear even when the power is off, and this is convenient for finding out the reason of the fault and the bug in the device.
- It is able to in frequency of 24 points every period record the waves involving the value of current, voltage and switch before and after the failure. The sampling data from the last four periods of waves before tripping operation and from the first 16 periods of waves after tripping operation will be transferred to the automatic station of the transformer substation, and this is helpful for the analysis to the tripping action, the storage format of the wave file and to COMTRADE compatibility.
- Being integrated with 8 groups of setpoints, several groups of settable setpoints and the automatic transfer switch function, it is suitable for unattended fields and frequently changing electric operation modes.
- The human-computer interface can display English language.
