Because the edges of the inner part of the ring are not putting pressure on the finger, comfort fit rings "feel" looser than a traditional half ring, some people prefer to wear a ring with a snug fit. If that is the case, comfort fit rings should be of a size smaller than a regular ring, as long as the ring is under 8mm. Rings over 8mm should always be ordered at least a size bigger than the measure taken from a standard finger gauge.
