No.1 Introduction DH-III skid detector is a belt conveyor stall protection device improved on the basis of speed relays that was used in our original plant. The core chip of this device which adopts SCM (singlechip machine) device is a kind of intelligent detector of high technology content. It can carry out accurate monitoring on the belt’s speed during the working process of belt conveyor machines.

No.2 Main FunctionThis device is used to inspect the skid between belts and active rollers when the belt conveyor belt is in operation to prevent vicious accidents caused by skidding. Furthermore,  DH-III skid-detector can be used to interlock start and stop of multi-belt conveyors, and low-speed brake and speeding protection.

No.2 Principle

The detector contacts with belts through touchwheel which tightly touches with the belt. When the touchwheel and motional belt run at linear velocity, the internal inspecting sensor is blocked by infrared transceiver light constantly, then output pulse signal, enter counting cell after being isolated by photoelectricity, meanwhile reflect the actual belt speed. Belts’ Movement information, through infrared photoelectric sensor, input SCM pulse signal. After receiving signal, the SCM begin to process computing and judgment to monitor the stall of running belts. When the running speed of belts is under the normal speed of 25-30%, a switch signal will be sent out. Users can take advantage of this switch signal to achieve stall stands in their own controlled network, and prevent production accidents caused by skid.
