 Although cable retractors are designed to provide years of trouble free service the type of atmosphere they are used in, or prolonged cable exposure to the sun or moisture may impact the overall service life. For example, use near chemical or paint sprays or failure to allow cable to retract when not in use will reduce the cable’s life.

MAINTENANCE:

  Always store in a cool dry place, always from chemical, water, direct sun light and sources of heat and vibration.

 Always ensure cable section is completely retracted before storage. This is especially important when retractors are left in place outside as components of a permanent fall protection system.
