cold work tool/mould steel XW-42 is a alloy tool steel containing molybdenum, vanadium high-carbon, high chrome, its characteristics are:

· High wear resistance

· High compressive strength

· Hardened high surface hardness after

· Excellent overall hardenability

· Excellent stability when hardened,

· Good temper softening resistance

Applications:

XW-42 is often used to mold needs a good wear resistance and appropriate toughness (impact resistance) . Except for applied outside the scope of  XW-5, it can also be used in cutting thick load on the foing mold.

Factory status: soft annealing to HB210
