The steel wire used in the manufacture of hexagonal Rockfall wire netting is heavily zinc coated or PVC coated according to ASTM A975, PVC coating is extruded over the galvanized wire to provide extra protection for use in complicated environments such as acidic soils or water,in salt water or wherever the risk of corrosion.The PVC coating has a nominal thickness of 0.55mm.
