Grids	- Electrical conductors. Physical support for active material
Oxide	- Lead oxide major component of active material
Paste	- Mixture of lead oxide, acid, and water that when cured and formed make active material
Plates	- Positive and negative electrodes
Separators	- Material which separates positive and negative plates but allows sulfate ions to pass
