OperationMeasuring1.1 With the vehicle ignition OFF, remove the fuse from the circuit to be testedand insert it into the fuse jack, this ensures the correct level of circuit protection.1.2 Insert the plug into the vehicle fuse socket.1.3 Switch on the vehicle ignition if required, to energize the circuit protection.1.4 Operate the circuit under test and the LCD will display the measured current.WARNING! The fuse blade may become hot during testing. Allow tocool before touching.2. Maintenance2.1 Battery replacementPower is supplied by a 1.5V AAA battery. The ‘BAT’ symbol appears on the LCDdisplay when replacement is required.WARNING!To avoid electric shock ensure all inputs are disconnected from any circuit beforeremoving the battery cover.To replace the battery, remove the screw from the back of the unit and removethe cover. Remove the exhausted battery and replace with a new, observingthe connection polarity. Replace cover.NOTE! Dispose of old battery according to local authority guidelines.2.2 CleaningClean with a soft damp cloth.Store in a safe, dry, childproof location.
