15% Long acting Amoxycillin Injection

Each ml contains amoxycillin 150mg  long acting

Target species:

cattle, pigs, sheep, dogs, cats.

Indication:

  For the treatm,ent of infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria that are susceptible to amoxycillin.

Contra-indications:

  Do not use in animals with a history of hypersensitivity towards penicillins and cephalosporins.

  Do not use in small rodents (Guinea pigs, hamsters,gerbils, rabbits) since amoxycillin may cause fatal colitis in these species.

Dosage:

7.5 to 15 mg of amoxycillin/kg/b.w./day or 0.5 to 1 ml Amoxycillin 15% injection/10 kg b.w./day.

The dose may be  repeated if necessary. A dose interval of 36-48 hours is recommended.

Method and routes of administration:

Dogs, cats:	by intramuscular or subcutaneous administration
Cattle, pigs, sheep:	by intramuscular route only

Undesirable effects:

Allergic reactions (skin, life-threatening anaphylaxia) may occur in hypersensitezed animals.

Special precautions for use, other warnings:

  Shake before use. Do not use by intravenous route. Use always a dry syringe.  Use during pregnancy and lactation is not contra-indicated. It should not be mixed with other drugs in the same syringe.
