Remove protective cap (lighter top), insert into computer USB port. Let the device charge for two hours to ensure that it is completely charged. Insert Micro SD card (2GB to 8GB) in the Micro SD slot. Replace cap. Press down on the Power/Record button for a few seconds. The indicator light will light up for approximately two seconds before turning off. The camera is now in voice/sound-activated stand-by mode. In this mode the camera will automatically begin recording video and audio whenever the surrounding noise level rises above 65 decibels, with an automatic shut-off if the sound level has dropped below that level for three minutes. To deactivate the voice/sound-activated mode, press down on the Power/Record button once. The indicator light will go on, indicating that the camera is in manual stand-by mode. It will shut itself off automatically if there is no action after two minutes. To record video in the manual stand-by mode, hold the Power/Record button down for two seconds. The indicator light will begin flashing, indicating that the camera is recording. To stop recording and save the file, press down on the Power/Record button once. To take still photos press down on the Power/Record button once. The indicator light will go out briefly and then come back on after the picture has been taken.
