ER4047,Normally as ALSi2,ER4047 is an aluminum filler metal that contains 12% silicon. This alloy is not only fit for MIG or TIG application, but can be supplied as a copper brazing alloy for ordinary application. It has a good corrosion resistance and is an alloy welding stick that is well received for copper brazing or aluminium soldering. It may be used for welding such base materials as 1060, 1350, 3003, 3004, 3005, 5005, 5050, 6053, 6061, 6951 or 7005 as well as casting alloy 710.0 or 711.0. The melting point temperature of ER4047 is about 1,070-1,080°F and it takes on a blackish grey color after anodic treatment.

Alloy 4047 was originally designed for brazing and has a higher silicon contact than alloy 4043 which increases fluidity, reduces shrinkage and minimum hot-cracking. Our 4047 can sustain relatively elevated service temperature and is often used in the automotive industry.

Operating and Storage Instructions

1.The product may be directly applied to welding during the quality guarantee period after being unpackaged and no pre-welding treatment is necessary. The product may be stored for a period of two years or more in the delivery packaging and sealing condition and in the normal atmospheric environment, quality is guaranteed for three months after the product is unpackaged.

2.The product should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated place isolated from such media as acid, alkali and oil.

3.The product should be prevented from being hit and exposed to moisture during transportation to avoid damage to the welding stick coil and affecting the quality of the welding stick.

4.It is suggested that the welding stick is covered by an appropriate dust-proof mask after being unpackaged.

5.For welding sticks whose storage period has expired, surface treatment is recommended prior to welding.

6.The arc will irritate your eyes during the welding process. Please take protective measures.
