Beeswax
1. Definition
Beeswax (yellow beeswax, Beeswax Grain) is secreted by 12-18 days years old worker bee, from wax glands beneath segments six to nine of the abdomen. Beeswax is the " building materials" for honeycomb and sealing the ripened honey.
2. Usages
It is widely used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, fragrant candles, polish, waterproofing and to make foundation comb for beehives.
3. Specification
The composition of beeswax is complex, but contains hydrocarbons, straight chain monohydric alcohols, acids, hydroxy acids, oils and other substances.
